Short answers to the questions candidates ask most about the engineer license exam and about these mock tests.
It is the registration examination that engineering graduates must pass to be registered with the Nepal Engineering Council and practise as engineers in Nepal. Each discipline has its own paper; the paper for Information Technology Engineering follows the syllabus coded AItE.
The exam is a computer-based test of 100 multiple-choice questions, each with four options and one correct answer. Every question carries 1 mark, the time allowed is 2 hours, and the test is submitted automatically when the time ends. Questions from all chapters appear mixed together.
The pass mark is 50%, which means at least 50 correct answers out of 100.
There are ten chapters, each contributing 10 questions: 1. Concept of Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering; 2. Digital Logic and Microprocessor; 3. Programming Languages and Web Technology; 4. Information System and Artificial Intelligence; 5. Data Communication, Computer Network and Organization; 6. Computer Graphics and Multimedia System; 7. Data Structures and Algorithm, Database System and Operating System; 8. Software Engineering and Object-Oriented Analysis & Design; 9. Information Theory System and Coding; 10. Project Planning, Design and Implementation.
The paper is mainly theory, concept and fact based. Long calculations are not its style, but very short one-step items and short code-reading questions can appear, so basic formulas and simple program tracing are worth revising.

No. Every question on this site is written for practice, in our own words, to match the syllabus and the style of the exam. No one can promise that a practice question will appear in the real paper.
Three full mock tests and the practice set for Chapter 1 are free, and every chapter page has free sample questions with answers. A paid Exam Pass for unlimited mock tests and chapter analysis is planned but is not on sale yet. The bank currently holds more than 1,900 questions.
Yes, the site works on phones and computers. Your attempts and scores are stored only in your own browser, with no account or login. Clearing the browser's data, or switching to another device or browser, resets them.
Sit a full mock in one go under the 2-hour timer, review every answer and its explanation, revise your weakest chapter, and then take the next mock. Chapter practice mode is untimed and shows the explanation after each question, which suits learning between mocks.
